Grant Shanks is an internationally
recognised radio copywriter and producer, winner of many of the
world’s most prestigious awards for advertising, including CLIO and Hollywood IBA. He is a full-time author, freelance writer, copywriter and creative marketing consultant. He writes fact under his own name and fiction under the nom de plume’s
G. Andrews (science fiction) and Andrew Grant (thrillers).
Writing as Andrew Grant, he enjoyed a New Zealand best seller with his first novel HAWKS. This was followed by TYLER’S GOLD, another New Zealand-based thriller. In 2002, Grant won the Richard Webster Popular Fiction Award with MESQUITE SMOKE-DANCE, an American police psychological thriller set in Texas. This was book one of the proposed SMOKE, FIRE, ASH trilogy. DEATH IN THE KINGDOM, (2007) A bloody, hard-nosed thriller set in Thailand was published out of Singapore by Monsoon Books and is under offer as a movie project. Grant has given his permission to have TYLER'S GOLD scripted as a movie. His next novel, SINGAPORE SLING-SHOT is due for release by Monsoon books prior to Christmas 2008.
